Chimar was founded to market innovative technologies in the field of antioxidant analysis in the cosmetics and food industry.
At that time, Chimar President, Dr. M.Sc. Marco Piacentini PhD and MBA, developed a strategic network with leading universities and research laboratories as such ETH in Zurich (CH), Polytechnic of Milan, other Biotech research centers in Italy and, later on, with famous Bocconi Business School in Milan, one of the top 5 business school in Europe.
Chimar started offering consulting services in the Cosmetics industry.
Chimar also started offering temporary management services to leading companies in the cosmetic and lab testing industry .
This lead to developing further competences and know-how over the entire cosmetic value chain, from packaging manufacturing to marketing & communication, from bulk quality control to global regulatory issues.
Chimar obtained a partnership with Eurofins scientific group, and extended its consulting services to the life science field, starting to take up projects in the pharma and environmet divisions.
Chimar acquired projects targeting the supply chain of analysis laboratories, widening its scope with the managing of consumables in the life science field.
Chimar first ventured in the fair management sector, actively participating in the design and setup of Polonia Pavilion at the EXPO 2015 in Milan.
Chimar obtained a partnership with Japan Cosmetic Center (JCC) and started investing in Japanese Cosmetic Market as a leading player for import/export support from/to Japan.
Local partnership with major cosmetic groups in Tokyo and custom offices in Karatsu and the worldwide consolidated partnership with Eurofins Cosmetic allow Chimar to serve as a solid partner to Japanese companies to export to EMEA region, while EU companies are supported to breach into the challenging Japanese market.
Chimar becomes service partner of many Japanese and independent brands exporting into EU, UK, US markets, offering services for regulatory compliance, responsible person, import and logistics support, branding and positioning.
Chimar also became exclusive partner with Eurofins Cosmetics and Personal Care Italy, offering regulatory consulting services in the Cosmetics industry.
With the partnership with Eurofins Group, Chimar is able to offer the complete range of analytical and clinical testing to support the regulatory requirements.
Chimar became partner of Cosmoprof, acting as responsible of the development and management of Japan Pavilion inside Cosmoprof fairs.
Chimar also became partner with Japanese Cosmetics Experience (JCE), an open platform to connect and promote Japanese cosmetic companies willing to export oversea.
With this setup, Chimar is able to organize Japan Pavilion in Cosmoprof fairs, thinking bigger and accomplishing a more successful project every year.
Following Brexit, Chimar establishes an office in London, offering responsible person service and regulatory consulting in UK.
A collaboration with Cambridge International Associates (CIA) begins, aimed at expanding regulatory compliance and export services to countries outside the EU.
Chimar activates the US toxicological regulatory and compliance division, offering services to US brands in the US market and exporting to the EU.
Chimar consists of a team of global top managers, a senior business development manager, regulatory and toxicology experts, and internal marketing & digital marketing resources.
